Our puppies are $3500. They are available to loving, forever companion or service/support/ therapy homes. If you may be looking for a show, agility, hunting or grooming competition prospect, or are looking to add to your small breeding program, please do inquire. I may have what you are looking for, or know of a breeder who I would recommend.
Your poodle puppy will come to you with AKC Limited Registration, meaning this puppy is not to be used for breeding purposes unless we have discussed this and agreed on Full AKC Registration. Full AKC Registration pricing and required health testing terms are available upon request. Puppies sold with Limited AKC registration are not to be bred, whether it be to registered purebred dogs, mixed breed dogs or to contribute to the "designer" mixed breed craze like goldendoodles.
Your puppy will have been examined by our vet, Dr. Charles McGhee of North Oakland Veterinary Associates in Oxford, MI. Age appropriate shots/wormings are done by Dr. McGhee. If you would like to contact Dr. McGhee for a veterinary reference, his phone number is 248-628-4130. Your puppy will be microchipped, tail will be docked to the long show standard and dewclaws are also removed. Your puppy will be well started on potty training. You will also receive a very generous welcome home kit including puppy food, treats, toys and other special goodies my own poodles love.
Please note: If you would prefer a natural tail/dewclaws intact, we must receive your payment in full for your puppy as your puppy must be selected when the puppy is 2 days old. Additionally, you must have an early pick for puppy selection for this to be possible.
If you would like to place a deposit on a future litter, I would ask to schedule a phone call to discuss whether one of our puppies may be a good fit for you. Following the call I would then accept a $500 deposit/partial payment on an expected litter along with a signed deposit agreement. This will reserve your place in line for puppy selection. If the puppy has been born a $500 deposit will reserve the available puppy until it is ready to leave us. We will go in order of deposit received for puppy selection.
If you will be picking up your puppy the remaining balance would be due at pick up. If your puppy will be traveling home by air, the balance and any travel costs will be due two weeks before your puppy is traveling. No personal checks will be accepted at pick up, and we do not ever use Paypal as they do not support animal sales.
At minimum, we have completed the following health testing on our adult dogs, each of who are OFA CHIC certified:
Health testing results can be found by following the link on our adult poodle's pages to the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) website. All genetic tests are clear and our dogs are not carriers, all hips rated good to excellent, all eye and cardiac results are "normal". We seek the same in any future stud dog we may use for our litters.
Please don't let your proximity to Michigan be a barrier to a wonderful puppy from Aglow. I have been safely delivering puppies throughout the United States since 2001. Often times a flight is less expense and much less stressful on your new puppy then several days traveling by car and a trusted flight nanny may also be available to travel with your puppy, depending on locations and schedules. Those costs vary based on the flight nanny's fee, the costs of his/her flight, and the particular airline's pet fee. For example, on a recent trip from Detroit to Orlando: $500 flight nanny fee + $250 roundtrip flight on American Airlines + $125 American Airlines pet fee to carry on a puppy = $875. Any travel fees would be due two weeks prior to your puppy traveling along with any balance. Please inquire if you would like a custom quote from Michigan to your locale.
Many of our families choose to fly into Detroit Metropolitan Airport or Bishop International Airport in Flint, Michigan to transport their puppy home. I am 75 minutes from each airport, both Flint and Detroit are equidistant to me. I will meet the new puppy owner at the airport and they then fly back home with the puppy in a soft carrier they provide under their seat. I am happy to meet your flight, this is complimentary.
I do not offer shipping in cargo for our beloved puppies, please do not ask.
What is not to love? Poodles are simply wonderful! They come in multiple sizes and colors. They don’t shed. Standards are my favorite because they don’t bark as much and tend to be calmer than the smaller poodle versions. Highly intelligent, loyal, loving, gentle, and usually very calm as adults. Easy to entertain---a good game of fetch will kill hours. They are regal and always turn heads when out on walks. Poodles are generally very good with other dogs, excellent with kids, and well behaved with other animals. They are total clowns! My poodles love to make us laugh which is why they made such great circus dogs. They are an excellent choice as a therapy dog, a hunting companion, or as your next couch potato. No two poodles are the same, so they always keep you guessing. What more could you want?
Through the years I have saw the some people seem to have a strong preference for one gender over another or one color over another and others simply want an Aglow poodle. If you fall into that category with a strong preference, by all means definitely choose what you are certain you want. There are other people who struggle with this choice. In my lines I can say there is very little difference between choosing a male puppy or a female. Both will be very loyal, very loving companions and both will be a wonderful addition to your home. There is also no difference in temperament based on coat color. Males tend to be slightly larger than females with a bit more bone and muscle.
I would prefer you to allow me to find a litter that fits your needs, and not by making a puppy selection decision based solely on the gender or the coat color of the puppy. You will live 14-15 years with the personality and I promise that is the most important consideration.
Pet insurance is probably the number one question of our puppy families. This information is for your consideration only, Aglow Standard Poodles does not require pet insurance. We have no relationship with these companies, nor are we making any specific recommendations. If an accident or illness of your dog would be financially devastating, I do strongly encourage you to explore pet insurance.
This is not an all encompassing list but rather meant as a starting point for your search. When exploring pet insurance consider the things you would when weighing your own health insurance options: things like co-pays, deductibles, waiting periods, pre-existing conditions, exclusions etc.
Please contact the insurers directly to help answer any questions you may have.
